LORAPAY, ESPORTS NG & ONEID WIN IHACK4SDG CHALLENGE

On the 26th of May, the demo for the iHack4SDG Challenge was held with 10 teams selected and brought together 8 startup teams pitching their respective problems and solutions to the sustainable development goals after being mentored by mentors for about a week on building their solutions.

Sidebar: The iHack4SDG Challenge was put together by ICANBOI in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Bank of Industry. The essence of the hackathon is to gather a new generation of innovative thinkers aimed at building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and facilitating the attainment of sustainable development goals using technology. 

Highlights: Each team interacted with a team of top-rated mentors and had the opportunity to present their solutions to potential investors and the Bank of Industry team with the possibility of investment

3 WAYS TO SURVIVE THE NEW HIKE IN FUEL PRICE

Following newly inaugurated President Bola Tinubu’s (in)famous “subsidy is gone” declaration on May 29, 2023, Nigerians have been thrown into yet another cycle of fuel scarcity. But this time, it’s come with an almost doubled cost of fuel. 

The fuel price increase will have an impact on employees traveling to work. With the cost of working from home doubled, even commuting to the office has doubled.
